About the role
This role is a live in position, where you will plan and prepare meals for our community care clients, as well as provide an onsite presence to support our residents in our brand new independent living complex.
The ideal applicant will be well-presented and have a passion for cooking along with desire to make a real difference to the quality of life of our residents and community care clients.
This is an identified role; applicants must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
Previous experience assisting in all aspects of kitchen operations, food preparation and service provision, experience with in the aged care or similar catering environment will be highly regarded
Ability to plan and design easy to follow recipe’s and preparation guides
Ability to understand and implement Food Safety Plan Guidelines;
Experience with stock control and ordering;
Knowledge of or ability to learn - Aged Care documentation requirements;
Turn up to every shift motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
Undertake all mandatory training as per age care compliance;
A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate – or a willingness to obtain
Current QLD Drivers Licence
