About  the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Health & Safety Officer/ Parks & Gardens Leading Hand, to assist with the monitoring assist with the monitoring of compliance with the WHS Management System provide leadership to the Parks & Gardens team. In this newly created position, you will foster a proactive safety culture and ensure the delivery the Parks & Gardens maintenance projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Have an appropriate qualification in WHS or experience in a similar role.

  • Demonstrated experience in Parks, Landscape and Horticultural activities that include labouring, gardening, cleaning, maintenance and repair and pruning vegetation, grass and turf management and herbicide application

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to run small gardening  crews

  • High level verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Drivers Licence Class 'C' and 'MR' Medium Rigid Truck Licence
