Community Services Team Leader
Full-time Position
Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Community Services Team Leader to support the delivery of Council’s community services, including aged care, justice, library and Centrelink services.
The role will lead and support staff, coordinate service delivery, oversee reporting and compliance requirements, and provide workplace training and development.
To be successful, you will need:
o Experience coordinating community, aged care or human services
o Experience leading, supervising and mentoring staff
o Strong communication, organisation and reporting skills
o Computer literacy, including online learning platforms, and knowledge of aged care and community services legislation, standards and funding/quality requirements
o Ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a remote community
o A positive, respectful attitude and a genuine willingness to support your team and community
o Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent
o Blue Card or ability to obtain one
o Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
o Satisfactory Criminal History Check
bakery Retail Assistant
part-time Position
Do you love the smell of fresh baking, enjoy working with people, and take pride in great customer service? Council is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our friendly bakery team! This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be part of a small, supportive team that delivers delicious food and a welcoming experience to our Community.
Responsibilities
- Support the baker with daily food preparation.
- Provide friendly, high-quality customer service.
- Prepare coffee and beverages (barista experience welcomed).
- Assist with opening and closing the bakery.
- Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Open Manual “C” Class current Qld Driver’s Licence.
- Able to pass a National Police Check.
- A positive attitude, reliablitity and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take pride in your work.
Animal Control or Environmental Health Worker

Post Office Customer Service / Cashier
Fulltime Position
We are inviting a positive and motivated community member to join our Community Services team as a Post Office / Cashier Customer Service Officer.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- This is an important community-facing role that provides friendly, respectful, and efficient customer service at the Post Office, helping community members access essential services.
- We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is comfortable using computers and handling payments, and works well as part of a supportive team.
- No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. The successful applicant will be reliable, committed, trustworthy, and take pride in delivering a high standard of service to the community.
The successful applicant will have the following:
- Able to pass a National Police Check.
- An interest in handling money and transactions (experience is welcome but not essential).
- A friendly and respectful approach to customer service.
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
- A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
- Administration experience, which would be an advantage but not a requirement.
