Community Update – Severe Weather Advice

Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council is closely monitoring current weather conditions, that may impact the region in the coming days.

At this stage, the community is well prepared, and there is no immediate cause for concern.

We currently have:

• Adequate fuel supplies for the community
• Sufficient food and essential supplies for approximately three (3) months

Council officers are continuing to monitor weather advice and plan ahead to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community.

While severe weather can sometimes cause disruptions to power, communications, flights, there is no need for panic buying at this time. We kindly ask everyone to purchase only what they need so that supplies remain available for all households.

Further updates will be shared through this website and Council communication channels as information becomes available. We encourage everyone to check back regularly to stay informed.
