Local Biosecurity Capabilities Under the Spotlight
A two‑year cross‑shire biosecurity project strengthened cooperation and confidence among Lands Protection Officers from Normanton to Pormpuraaw by allowing them to compare practices, share local knowledge, and build strong peer networks across diverse Gulf landscapes. Through a series of on‑country meetings, officers gained deeper understanding of regional challenges, highlighted the importance of relationships and local intelligence, and identified opportunities for improved capability, coordination, and institutional support moving forward. Read more on this by clicking on the document below and reading the biosecurity report listed above.
