Pormpuraaw Annual Bull Ride - 21st & 22nd September, 2019
Come along to the Pormpuraaw Annual Bull Ride Event commencing on Saturday 21st September and concluding on Sunday 22nd September, 2019.
The event will host the following:
• Traditional Activities
• Bull Riding
• Mechanical Bull Rides
• Activities for Kids of All Ages
• Bar will be Open on Saturday Night Only

Bull Ride Nominations are now being called for. Please see below flyer and nomination form. The Nomination Form needs to be taken to Council office and payment made before the cut off date of 3pm on 19th September 2019.
If this is not done by the cut off date then there will be a higher fee to pay on the day of the event.
Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council - Mock Disaster Exercise
Pormpuraaw Aboriginal Shire Council undertook a mock disaster exercise in June, 2017. This included all emergency and essential service divisions in the Pormpuraaw Community. It is imperative that all relevant service providers undertake these mock exercises to ensure that they are at the ready should a real disaster present itself to the community of Pormpuraaw. Well done to all for their participation.
